AMU celebrated Children's Day, the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by paying tributes to
Aligarh, November 15: The Department of Amraz-e-Niswan- wa-Atfal, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (AKTC), Aligarh Muslim University celebrated Children’s Day, the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by paying tributes to the leader and remembering his contribution in Indias freedom struggle.
Drawing and Quiz competitions for children in the age group of six to 10 years were organised in the Paediatrics OPD to commemorate the Children s Day, said Prof Syeda Aamena Naaz (Organiser of the events). Dr Suboohi Mustafa, Dr M Anas, Dr Diwan Israr Khan, Dr Fahemeeda Zeenat also helped organising the celebrations at the AKTC.
Meanwhile, at the Abdullah School, Mrs Umra Zaheer (Superintendent) paid tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by addressing students on Pandit Nehrus contribution in Indias freedom struggle. She also spoke on the Government of India and World Health Organisation campaign to eradicate Measles-Rubella (MR). The School children performed skits and participated in other competitions to celebrate Children’s Day.
