AMU Robo Club organized its 6th Orientation Ceremony to welcome freshers and to brief them about the working and achievements of the club.
ALIGARH September 10: AMU Robo Club, run under the aegis of Department of Electronics, Aligarh Muslim University organized its 6th Orientation Ceremony to welcome freshers and to brief them about the working and achievements of the club. The occasion was also celebrated for the fifth anniversary of the Club. On this occasion, the members of the Club presented an ambitious project for the study of the weather conditions through a mobile system. The user of the system may get the current weather reading of the temperature, humidity and wind speed by sending a SMS to the system. Prof. Ekram Khan, Teacher Incharge, Robo Club unveiled the ‘Weather Station’ project amidst a thunderous applause by the audience. Prof. Khan urged the appreciated the creative project by the members of the Robo Club. He requested the Principal of the college to allocate an increased fund for the Club. Principal, Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology, Prof. M. Mohibullah assured every possible help to the Club from his side. Earlier, the Coordinators of the Club, Mr. Shahrukh Ashraf, Mr. Mohd Asif and Ms. Sidhika Varshney welcomed the guests and presented an overview of the activities and objectives of the club focusing on recent achievements. A large number of students of B. Tech. and Women’s Polytechnic participated in the Orientation programme. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Prof. B.H. Khan, Chairman, Department of Electronics Engineering, Dr. Omar Farooq, Department of Electronics Engineering and Mr. Rihan Alvi, Department of Electrical Engineering. The former Coordinators, Mr. Faraz Ahmad and Mr. Ibadur Rahman also addressed the students and urged the students to join the club in a large number to enhance and sharpen their technical skills. Mr. Ibadur Rahman stressed need for out-of-class learning in today’s competitive world. The host of the ceremony, Ms. Yoshita Bardhan, motivated the students to become member of the Club.
